Changes in your estrogen level cause the release of mucus from your vagina. The high degree of estrogen, as compared to other hormones, is called estrogen dominance.
When there is a high level of estrogen in your body, it stimulates the cervix to secrete more mucus. From these secretions, a few mucus discharges from your vagina. This discharging that is regulated by estrogen dominance is called estrogen dominance discharge.
The second female hormone is progesterone, which is also known as the relaxing hormone. As it works in the body to balance the effect of estrogen.
It is abundant during the second half of your menstrual cycle, which is the luteal phase. The corpus luteum secretes this hormone after the ovulation.
If there is a pregnancy, progesterone builds up, helps mature, and maintains the uterine lining.
But if there is no fertilization of eggs, the progesterone level in your body drops, this leads to the beginning of periods. The first day of your mesnes, in which you bleed the most.

- Moreover, progesterone inhibits the secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone.
You have a low level of testosterone in your body as compared to men. It is a sex hormone.
Ovaries and adrenal glands secrete the testosterone hormone.
